About Pierce & Co.

With roots going back to 1898, when Worth and Vance Pierce ran the store together with Henry Wyche, Pierce & Co. prides itself on not only being one of the oldest continuously run hardware stores in North Carolina but also a local institution and meeting place. A hardware store with a meat market and a little bit of everything in between, if we don't have it, you don't need it. (And if you happen to prove us wrong, just let us know and we will do our best to get it for you!)

125th Anniversary Celebration

On September 15th and 16th, we'll be celebrating our 125th anniversary. We'll have food both days from 10am - 2pm along with giveaway, great deals on merchandise, AND a specially made CASE Trapper knife!

A NEW Door!

We've cut through 16" of 100 year old brick and installed a new entrance on the parking lot side! This will provide a safer experience for our customers and brightens up the interior of the store. More improvements to come in this area!!

Hand made Glassware

We've been busy unloading newly arrived mouth blown, hand formed glass ware from Poland. These decorative and functional pieces are made by artisans in southern Poland. We've got a limited supply of them directly from the manufactuer. Please come by and check it out.

EV Charging Stations

We now have 2 Fast DC Charging Stations! They have both CCS, and CHAdeMO connectors and can charge at up to 150kW - getting you some extra juice if you're on the way to the beach or elsewhere!

You'll need the Shell Recharge App to use the stations. Once you have the app downloaded and setup, just scan the QR code on the station, plug-in, charge, and come inside.

In the old days, there were mule / horse hitch posts where the current charging stations are!
